The firm’s team of forensic accounting consultants are all highly experienced specialists. They first worked together at Moore Stephens’ (now part of BDO) London office for many years before establishing Vero Consulting in 2016. They have continued to work well together, as each individual brings a different strength and contribution to each case.

By working flexibly in very small teams (usually no more than 2-3) and using technology to manage our projects, the team are able to apply all their skill and expertise to resolving clients’ contentious business issues cost-effectively.

While most assignments are conducted in English, Vero Consultants’ team include forensic accountants fluent in 8 European languages. The firm is equipped to undertake assignments on most of the continent.

Charles Lazarevic B.Sc., M.B.A., F.C.A., M.A.E

Charles is Vero Consulting’s founder. For many years he was involved in financial reporting, due diligence assignments, fundraising, fraud and forensic investigations, various professional client roles with leading firms of chartered accountants in London, he . In recent years most of his professional work has involved forensic accounting investigations, expert advisory and expert witness work for a wide range of clients in the UK and overseas.

Roger Lustig B.D., F.C.A., M.A.E

Forensic-Accountant

Roger qualified as a chartered accountant with a central London firm working on smaller clients before joining a major firm to work on the audit of large corporates. He was eventually recruited by a client and he spent many years with major corporates in the electrical and construction sectors.

In 1994 Roger joined a top-10 firm to grow their social housing sector clients, which included working on his first forensic accounting assignments.

In 2003, he took his practice and founded his own boutique firm, which grew and was acquired by Moore Stephens (now part of BDO) in 2011.

Roger has acted as an expert witness on commercial disputes, business valuations, loss of profits and fraud investigations. He has acted for prosecution and defence in privately and publicly funded cases. He has also acted as a single joint expert.

Roger has presented evidence in court and been cross examined on many cases on which he has worked.

James Wise B.Sc., A.C.A.

Forensic-Accountant

Obsessive about finding the truth in each case he takes on, James combines lateral thinking with a practical and commercial approach. While keeping it simple, clear and logical, James presents findings based on exploring the intricacies of each case – nothing is assumed.

James qualified with a Big-4 firm and spent many years auditing major corporates with that firm before specialising in forensic accounting consulting. He has focussed on this specialism for over 25 years. In this time he has worked on quantum and causation forensic cases, across multiple sectors, in the High Court in the UK and in international arbitrations held in continental Europe. James focusses on compensation claims and contentious business valuations. He has been involved in a wide range of expert witness and advisory work including:
